Our day began with our final bus tour.
This is Christ Church Cathedral
It began about 1028 by Vikings.
It has seen some updates over the years but the structure is original. Amazing.
This monument is for Daniel O'Connell-the Irish liberator.
Notice the clover leaf on the street lamps.
This is a home in the original Georgian architecture area. Built during English rule.
Today, the only change that can be made is the color of the front doors. So there are many colorful ones. The lamp above this door is original. When built, every 4th door had to have a light. If it was found not lit, the owner would be fined.
Trinity University in Dublin. Founded in 1592!
Women were not allowed until 1904.
Next Stop.....Guinness Warehouse.
Very interesting history. Arthur Guinness began a poor man and built an empire.
He and his wife had 21 children-11 survived to adulthood. Late 1800s he negotiated a 9000 year contract on the 45 acres where the storehouse sit.
A lot goes into making the perfect "stout" beer.
It is a wood carving. Incredible
Can you see the carving?
"Good things come to those who wait'
The harp is their trademark.
After the museum and education on the making of this beer, we enjoyed a pint. There is a glass viewing room on the top (7th floor).
On the bus ride home we saw Glasveivn Cemetery.
The tall monument is for Daniel O'Connell and he is buried under it.
A very big display of Celtic crosses.
A typical "upper class" home in Dublin.
Our day ended with a nice dinner.

What an amazing trip your having, Brenda!
