Pouting on the Porch

It's a rainy dreary day today.
Theodore has to stay on
the porch and I don't
think he likes it :)

With the rain, it's beginning to
look like Spring around here.

I even had a little harvest today.

Easter is around the corner so.....

Adventures of Theodore

Shelter in place allows
outdoor activities as long as you remain 6ft apart.
Families in our neighborhood
began to put bears in windows and yards
to give kids something to enjoy
on their walks thru the community.

The back of our home sits on
a popular walking road so we joined the fun.

Years ago, my honey gave me
a HUGE bear for Christmas.
We decided he was too big to be called Teddy,
So meet ..."Theodore" !

My honey is creative
so each day he changes spots.

Day 1

Day 2

Day 3

Day 4

We woke to a thunderstorm,
so Theodore had coffee on the porch

Then played it safe the rest of the day

It is such a joy
to see the kids (and adults) smiling faces.
Friendly faces driving by even stop for photos.

We heard one little coming down the
street so excited to see what
"the bear is doing today".
She wanted her picture taken with him :)

Wonder what Theodore will be up to tomorrow?

Quality Time

March 26, 2020 our small town began
"Shelter in Place"
due to COVID-19.

Some things are different for us:
1. Grocery shopping online with HEB
2. No eating out
3. No shopping here and there
4. Staying 6 feet away from anyone
5. No public interaction..No physical Church
6. My Honey took early retirement
7. Our daily routine-every day feels like Saturday.

Some things are still the same:
1. Our quality time together.
2. Bible devotional each morning.
3. Sitting together at the table for each meal.
4. Sharing chores

Some projects are complete

and others are ongoing

A lot of creative cooking..

I know life is different all around us,
 God is Good
and we thankful for each day.

One Whole Week

Monday, March 16, 2020 my honey and I began our journey of self quarantine. While this virus is a very real and scary thing,
we are doing our part at putting it to a halt.
We begin each day with our devotional.
That is really nothing new but now it holds a significant part in our daily attitude
and seems to fit our need.
 Home projects are being created.

Some outside.....

Some inside.

God is still on his throne and
Spring is beginning to peek through.

My heart is heavy for all families, communities and leaders. However, we (as well as many others) are forced to slow down and
take stock of what really matters.
Realize things we really do not need
and others we need more than ever.

One whole week done. How many more?

What are y'all doing to pass the time?
