School Carnival

Since it was 92 degrees and sunny, we gathered our hats and headed to the Stephenville City Park
for Amy's school carnival.

First thing Amy and Jefferson wanted to do
was the jump house. No surprise there.

Then we headed to the game booths.

Their favorite was trying to win fish!!!

This sweet worker let them throw
as many as it took to make it!

It was a hard choice

Funny photos

And for the very first time,
they sat in a saddle and rode a horse!

Next a hayride

Grandpa and his buddy

And last, tattoos and face painting

We did it all. It was a wonderful time.

We are so blessed to have 2
of our 12 grandkids so close by.

Texas Reds Fest

Our 3rd year to visit with Paula to enjoy this wine festival in Bryan Texas.

We enjoy sampling various Texas wines.

I prefer sweet red :)
Now that is a GLASS of wine

It was very hot this year. 95 and sunny.
The vintage theater on main street (which is air conditioned) had old cartoons going all day.

It was a great place to cool off.
Wine, popcorn and cartoons!

Main street has some pretty cool statues

Lunch time was yummy in an old soda shop

But dessert was the best

The end of the day concerts were great this year.
The weather cooled off as the sun went down

We discovered a wonderful artist
Sunny Sweeney. Great old school country music

We even met her backstage

Next was David Nail. We learned he is from Kennett Missouri!
 Small world

And just like that-the festival was over.
It was another great year, celebrating Paula's birthday and enjoying the weekend together.
Playing cards, food, wine and just being together
Even the puppies loved the visit.
