YaYas

A wonderful weekend with these special ladies

We began by seeing "Downton Abbey"
A great movie

We even spent a little time here to help celebrate Michele's grandson's (Preston) birthday!
We must really love each other to brave this place!

Then on to dinner.
A nice delicious meal at Pappadeaux

We topped the day off with coffee and dessert at
The Cheesecake Factory
Cheers!

A beautiful drive home Sunday.
I am so thankful and blessed
to have these ladies in my life.
What began as a friendship over 30 years ago has turned into a sisterhood for life.

First Day of Pre-PreK

This sweet little man is growing up very fast.

His first day to sit and learn.

He said he loved it but I think it wears him out!
The first day I picked him up,
we went in the drive through for lunch.
He was asleep before we got our food!

Now he's learning to ride Amy's old bike.
He said "look Memaw, one hand"!

Both Amy and Jefferson love
story time with Grandpa

Even though it is September is almost over, it is still in the upper 90's every day and no rain!
I think the dog days of summer is still with us.

Home to Hayti

Fridays usually begin with story time at the Stephenville Library. Then when Grandpa
gets home, he reads the books
Jefferson chose to check out.

And on this Friday-we took an evening flight
from Ft. Worth - destination: Dave's hometown of Hayti Missouri- to visit Momma Guise.

We leave Texas, land in Tennessee and drive through Arkansas to get to Missouri!
All in 1 1/2 hours!

Saturday was a great day.
When Guises get together,
there WILL be card playing!
The big winner.....Momma!

Lunch at this Awesome little restaurant

For a small farming community of about 3000 people, they have an outstanding place to eat out.
The food is delicious.
The decor very tasteful and inviting.
And as you can see,
a delectable array of deserts.

Olivia found her favorite cookie-
Sugar cookie with frosting and sprinkles!

A short visit but full of love and laughs.

Until next time Momma

Labor Day Weekend

Friday had school early out!

The fun began with the new train set.

Grandpa had the littles complete attention for some story time.

Saturday was a super fun day.

We were introduced to a new lake-
Carswell Shores
It was a beautiful day-Texas Hot- but beautiful.

Dave and I had a blast fishing. We got a bite on every cast and almost a catch too.
No matter the size, it was just as fun.

Amy cast it in AND caught a fish!

I got a good bite and then my line broke and I lost the lure and all :(
About 5 minutes later, Dave caught a bass and (true story) my lure was in its mouth!
But he is credited with the catch
because he landed it.

There was a lot of family there for the day.
So happy to see all of these kids having fun.

Because of our wet Spring, there are more frogs this year than have been in a very long time.
Frogs frogs and more frogs.

Sunday morning Truvy found a tree frog
on the back porch.

It jumped and hung on to the wind chime

We flew our flag and are proud to be citizens of a free country that gives workers so much.
