We took a road trip to Tyler Texas.
My mother was born there and it is where my grandparents are buried. I spent many weekends and summers there so it was a walk down memory lane for me. It was fun taking my honey by this house. It looks a lot different now but this is the house my grandparents (Alta Mae and Bill Davenport) had built in 1945. It was sold out of our family in 1996.

Just across the street is the Tyler Rose Garden.
The garden is full of color and smells wonderful.
We had to use the GPS but found the
Cathedral of the Pines where my
grandparents are buried.
After our day in Tyler, we drove to Yantis Texas. Population 338. Two of them is now Debbie and Pete. They have a beautiful home on Lake Fork.
We had a wonderful visit. Dinner, cards and even homemade blackberry pie. The next morning we enjoyed coffee on the patio with the view above.
A blessing of friends
and God's beauty
made for a wonderful weekend.
