Happy Valentine's Day

My honey and I had a wonderful breakfast. 

He surprised me with an addition to my Hard Rock Cafe pin collection. I have been collecting since 1990 but never had one from "Dallas". I have been there numerous times and was sad to discover they had permanently closed especially since I had neglected to get a pin. Well my honey (with help from EBAY) took care of that. 

He always makes me happy.

3rd time since New Year's Eve.

It is so peaceful and tranquil.

Actually, our area of Texas is in a deep freeze. 

So far, 4 days of highs below freezing.

Happy Birthday SweetPea

Into the world came a precious baby girl that would heart.

I was working at Tarleton State University and had just reached requirements to retire with benefits. My daughter (Amy's Mommy) made me an offer I couldn't refuse. I never looked back and began the most fulfilling "job" I could have ever dreamed of. This gig has lasted longer than I thought, as 2 more children have followed. My cup runneth over.

Today February 13, 2021 and we celebrate my SweetPea's 8th birthday!!

 

 

 

Friend time

 My heart was filled with joy and love as I spent time with my dear friend. Our friendship has with stood the test of time and change.

We walked and talked and sat outside for coffee

And we SHOPPED!

She recently she had her home (of over 30 years) remodeled. It is amazing. Seeing it for the first time was just like an HGTV big reveal.

It is a special blessing to have such a friend. I treasure our friendship.

Where has the time gone

And now it’s 2021!

We did some road trips over the Summer and Fall and I will share in later posts. They are too awesome to skip. Life has slowed down a bit for now and I feel compelled to catch up with my blog and the ones I follow. It’s a community I enjoy. 

Let’s start with Yesterday-I celebrated my 63 birthday! My honey took me on a road trip to the big city and purchased an IPAD.  This is my first attempt at blogging on it. So far I love it. 

We had lunch at Olive Garden then visited a historic cemetery with some very cool finds. A beautiful place. You will find I love history. It is where we all came from. So many interesting stories to be heard. 

I’ll leave you with some photos of the Texas snow in Early January. We very seldom have 5 inches of snow. It amazes me how beautiful and serene it is. Quiet, crisp and cold. I love it. 

May Yardwork

The beautiful weather has led to more projects.

After 3 years, we are making additions to the landscape.

It's a lot of work, but it's a good feeling to work in the sun. 

The when it is done, we can relax in the front yard swing.
